prof. Nataša Peršuh

Nataša Peršuh finished her MA studies at Institut Français de la Mode in Paris in 2002. Later she lived and worked in Paris for several years (Kenzo, L.Louison…). Since 2008 she has been a regular lecturer at the chair of Fashion and Textile Design at the Faculty NTF of the UL, working in the fields of fashion design and contemporary fashion practices. 

Known as the leader of several pioneering independent or client-based projects (co-founder of SQUAT, independent Slovenian fashion design & SQUAT gallery, 2007;  director and mentor of Young@Squat, the first revolutionary independent Slovenian multi-designer brand; conceptualised and directed one of the first Comme des Garçons Guerrilla Stores, CDG +3861, Ljubljana, 2005; conceptualised first attempt of a national fashion week – International Fashion Fair Ljubljana 2002; etc.).

As an expert on Slovenian and regional fashion ecosystem, she is often in the role of national representative and member of various organisations, e.g. Creative Europe initiative, participation in Madifesto Brussels 2017, mentoring workshop in Fashion Summit Skopje 2020 etc.

She is one of the best known Slovenian fashion designers who started her own brand Natasa Persuh in 2004. Her creative work is regularly shown at national and international exhibitions and fashion shows.
