Petra Došenović Bonča

Petra Došenović Bonča is an associate professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her research fields are health economics and public economics. Her current research focuses on efficiency and performance of health care providers in Slovenia and on innovations as factors of efficiency and performance. She is currently a member of the Statistical Advisory Committee for Health at the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia. She is also a member of the Operational Research Society. In the 2013 – 2017 period, she was the coordinator of the international accreditation of business schools EQIUS at the Faculty of Economics. She has published several papers analysing and assessing the Slovenia’s health care system and policy initiatives related to this sector. She has also participated in reform efforts and has been involved in consultancy projects for hospitals in Slovenia. She has participated in the development of the first postgraduate degree programme in Health Economics and anagement offered in Slovenia. Since 2017, she is the head of this programme and currently teaches courses Principles of health economics, Health systems and policies, Economic evaluation in health care and Health insurance.
