Vasilisa (Vaska) Sazonov

Vasilisa (Vaska) Sazonov has 15 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in outcomes research, health technology assessment (HTA), reimbursement/market access & commercial innovation in over forty countries worldwide.
Vaska obtained a Masters in Pharmacy degree from the University of Ljubljana (1998), a Masters degree in Health Economics from the University of York, UK (1999), and a PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Economics & Outcomes Research from Purdue University, Indiana, USA (2003). During her studies she completed practical trainings at the US Pharmacopoeia in Rockville, MD, Ciudad Sanitaria de Bellvitge Hospital in Barcelona, Johannesburg General Hospital, Roche Pharmaceuticals in Basel and Merck&Co., Inc in Whitehouse Station, NJ. Vaska’s research areas include HIV, infectious disease, oncology, respiratory diseases, the diseases of the central nervous system, cardiometabolic diseases, women’s health, rheumatology, gastroenterology and osteoporosis. Vaska has lectured at the Forrester Hill Medical Centre, Department of General Practice and Primary Care, Aberdeen and continues to lecture in Pricing & Reimbursement for the International Health Technology Assessment, Pricing and Reimbursement Program at the University of Sheffield as well as University of Ljubljana (School of Economics MBA and School of Pharmacy).
