Laura Bojke joined the team for economic evaluation and health technology assessment of the Centre for Health Economics, University of York in 1999. She completed her PhD at York in 2008, titled ‘Characterising structural uncertainty within decision analytic models’. She has worked on a number of projects involving the use of expert elicited data within decision analytic models and is particularly interested in this area and its application to issues of extrapolation uncertainty. Laura has worked on a wide range of applied and methodological projects and has gained extensive experience of modelling the cost-effectiveness of arthritis and musculoskeletal diseases, specially psoriatic arthritis. Laura is currently working on the Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Research and Care (CLAHRC) for Yorkshire and Humber as part of the Health Economics and Outcomes Measurement team. The program of work includes the use of economic evaluation across sectors, economic evaluation for local decision makers and the use of routine data for economic evaluation. Laura contributes to a range of short courses ran at CHE and leads the Assessing the Impact of Medical Technologies on Health module as part of the distance learning MSc in Economic Evaluation for Health Technology Assessment. She is also a member of the Research for Patient Benefit panel for Yorkshire and Humber. Laura is a member of the equality and diversity action group and was a member of the Athena swan group prior to this.
